During this interactive group course for a maximum of five couples, you'll be prepared for labor and delivery over three evenings of approximately one and a half hours each. The course is led by midwife and lactation consultant Dorien and takes place in Weerde (Zemst). Classes are taught entirely in Dutch.

The course is taught in an interactive manner and consists of three different evenings, each covering a specific topic:

  • Labor and delivery

  • Everything you need to know to start breastfeeding

  • The use of different carrying systems (both baby slings and baby bags) with practical explanations and the opportunity to test them out yourself

Would you prefer an individual information session, or do you speak French or English? Feel free to contact your midwife.

Foot reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient therapy used both preventatively and to relieve pain and complaints. By applying targeted pressure to reflex points and zones on the soles of the feet, which are connected to organs and other parts of the body, the body's self-healing capacity is stimulated and balance can be restored.

During pregnancy, foot reflexology can be helpful for symptoms such as nausea, high blood pressure, and pelvic discomfort. It can also help with breech presentations, overdue periods, and initiating the natural course of labor. Foot reflexology can also be used gently and safely on babies, for example, to treat colic.

A session lasts an average of 60 to 90 minutes. Reflexology is not a medical treatment, but a complementary therapy.

Baby wearing consultations

All our midwives are certified babywearing consultants. We're happy to explain the different carrying systems available and work with you to find the ideal carrying method for you and your baby.

A babywearing consultation lasts an average of one hour. You can practice with a babywearing system you've purchased yourself or try out different systems from the babywearing consultant.

For more information, please contact your midwife or send a message via our contact form .

Pumping consultations

Want to bottle-feed your baby, but unsure which pump to choose? Midwife Joyce is happy to help! She offers a wide selection of hands-free pumps from various brands (Medela, Elvie, Lansinoh, Momcozy, Youha, Philips Avent, and many more).

During your consultation, you can try out several pumps, as no two breasts are the same, and choosing the right pump is highly personal. You'll also receive comprehensive information about building a milk supply, storing breast milk, and how to best approach pumping at work. You'll, of course, take your expressed milk home with you.

A pumping consultation typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. Feel free to message Joyce to schedule an appointment.

Baby massage

During this workshop, you'll learn various massage techniques for your baby. Both parents and baby can fully relax. Workshops are available in groups or individually.

For an individual session you can contact Dorien .

Dates for group workshops will follow soon.
